I moved again.
Upstairs this time. The two girls moved in ahead of me, so my books are still relegated to the box I was keeping them in.
It’s bigger and tucked away in a corner by the washer and dryer. The TV here has a Roku, so I get the Criterion Channel again. The guinea pigs seem to like it, they have their own little corner.
I’m finally reading Didion & Babitz by Lili Anolik, and I love it. It seems to fit my new setting. I have a little window where I put my herb garden and my orchid is residing on a corner table next to my little radio.
I lose track of time up here, I feel suspended from it. It’s like a hideaway from the world.
